New Cookbooks for Cooking Fall Comfort Food

New at the Gilded Lily this week - cookbooks to help you with autumn cooking and entertaining.

First up is The Best-Ever One Pot Cookbook offers over 180 recipes for stove-top meals, casseroles, stews, one-pot dishes, roasts, and puddings. There are 700 color photographs in this cookbook.

"Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker: Recipes for Entertaining" features recipes for savory fondues, appetizer dips, party nuts, savory sauces, slow cooked vegetables, chili, meats, slow cooker puddings, cakes, breads, and dessert fondues.

By the same author, we carry "Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker: Family Favorites," a collection of favorite family breakfasts, slow cooker sandwiches and salads, soup, roasts, ribs, stews, chilis, veggie sides, and pasta.

"Fan Fare" is "A Playbook of Great Recipes for Tailgating or Watching the Game at Home." Recipes include snacks, appetizers and drinks; soups, beans and chili; salads, sides, breakfast and brunch; main courses; and "overtime" is a chapter all on dessert. Sure to please the football fanatics in your life!

"Apple Pie Perfect" presents 100 different recipes for America's favorite pie. We want to try the "Harvest Pie with Autumn Leaves" and the "Apple Apricot Peekaboo Pie."

See these and our other cookbooks at the gourmet food section in the Gilded Lily. We're in downtown Wenatchee on the corner of Palouse and Wenatchee Avenue, in the historic Olympia Hotel building.
