New Cookbooks at the Gilded Lily

New cookbooks at the Gilded Lily, where you find everything you need for gourmet entertaining!

Leslie Mackie's Macrina Bakery and Cafe Cookbook: Favorite Breads, Pastries, Sweets and Savories. $19.95.

The Macrina Bakery has three locations in Seattle.

You can't have a Family Movie Night at home without popcorn! Popcorn serves up over 60 tantalizing recipes — both savory and sweet — to ensure that popcorn is never boring again. For tart and piquant tastes, there are Lemon-Pepper Popcorn or Classic Barbecue, or even Gorgonzola and Green Onion for something completely different. On the sweet side, the offerings include Hawaiian Luau Bars (featuring coconut and white chocolate), Popcorn S’mores, and Bananas Foster Mix (the popcorn version). $15.95.

Cooking From the Garden contains over 200 recipes from Taunton's "Kitchen Gardener" magazine.

Cake Keeper Cakes features "100 Simple Recipes for Extraordinary Bundt Cakes, Pound Cakes, Snacking Cakes and Other Good-To-The-Last-Crumb Treats." A great Mother's Day gift, at $17.95.

Thinking ahead to Father's Day, we picked up a couple copies of Grillin' with Gas: 150 Mouthwatering Recipes for Great Grilled Food. $19.95.

We also recommend World Grilling, with its over 130 international recipes.

Also a great gift for dads, The Plank Grilling Cookbook: Infuse Food with More Flavor Using Wood Planks, for $18.95.

We love the romantic notion of a lighthouse (though we can't think of any in the nearby vicinity) so we couldn't resist the Lighthouse Breakfast Cookbook. It contains recipes from the Oregon Coast's Heceta Head Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast. $27.95.

Grocery Gardening: Planting, Preparing and Preserving Fresh Food, by Jean Ann Van Krevelen. $19.95.

We have just one or two copies of each of these fun titles, so be sure to stop in to the Gilded Lily soon to browse!
