New Books at the Gilded Lily

We just wanted to show you some of the fun and lovely new books that have arrived at the Gilded Lily this month!

No Regrets: 101 Fabulous Things to Do Before You're Too Old, Married, or Pregnant. A fun, light read with lots of great ideas.

Laying The Elegant Table: China, Faience, Porcelain, Majolica, Glassware, Flatware, Tureens, Platters, Trays, Centerpieces, Tea Sets. This beautifully photographed book was just published in March 2010.

Laugh Lines Are Beautiful: And Other Age-Defying Truths. This is definitely an inspirational read!

Elements of the Table: A Simple Guide for Hosts and Guests. Topics include china, crystal, napery, silver, and table decor.

Dogs-A-Porter. A whimsical coffee table book sure to elicit chuckles and smiles.

Dogs Can Sign, Too: A Breakthrough Method for Teaching Your Dog to Communicate. Couldn't hurt. Might help.

The Black-out Book: 500 Family Games and Puzzles for Wartime Entertainment. Compiled from vintage World War 2 materials, this is excellent for road trips, lake houses, cabins, and family camping trips.

Wedding Sanity Savers: How to Handle the Stickiest Dilemmas, Scrapes, and Questions That Arise on the Road to Your Perfect Day. We think this book could come in handy under so, so many circumstances...

Wedding Blessings: Prayers and Poems Celebrating Love, Marriage and Anniversaries. An excellent wedding shower gift!

Tea Party: 20 Themed Tea Parties with Recipes for Every Occasion, from Fabulous Showers to Intimate Gatherings. Lavishly and colorfully photographed!

Tabletops: Easy, Practical, Beautiful Ways to Decorate the Table provides excellent home decor inspiration and makes a nice coffee table book as well. Chapters include "Choosing Containers," "Creating Centerpieces," "Setting Tables Inside," "Setting Tables Outside," "Using Flowers in Food," "Celebrating Christmas" and "Finding Inspiration."

Bad Baby Names: The Worst True Names Parents Saddled Their Kids With, and You Can Too! We love this humorous little book of real names some unfortunates have to live with. My favorite (or should I say least favorite): "Mayflower Breeze."
