New Gourmet Pastas from Italian Harvest

Just arrived to the gourmet foods section of the Gilded Lily Home!

"Canule" pasta features coils in a unique spiral shape. They remain tight after cooking, presenting beautifully on the plate and holding onto your sauce perfectly. $7.50 per bag.

New from Pastifico Morelli, Linguine with Garlic & Basil includes wheat germ for extra nutrition and to add a nutty flavor. $11.75 per bag.

We're very excited about the new Foglie d'Oliva: spinach-infused organic pasta made to resemble olive leaves! The green color stays bright even after cooking. $8.50 per bag.

These classic pizzoccheri from the Valtellina region of northern Italy, among the peaks of the central Alps, is high in protein and fiber, making it a healthy alternative to durum wheat pasta. The traditional recipe calls for boiling cabbage and potatoes in water before adding the pizzoccheri. Drain and serve hot with fontina cheese, parmesan, fried butter and garlic, and a sprinkle of pepper. $6.50 per box.

We now carry Italian Harvest's Ziti organic pasta. This classically shaped southern Italian pasta works with any sauce, and is ideal for casseroles or "pasta al forno." $7.50 per bag.

Mezze Penne organic pasta is "half penne" cuts that present beautifully on the plate and go well with any sauce. $7.50 per bag.

The word ditali comes from 'dita', which means fingers in Italian: Ditali are things that can fit around a finger. This hard-to-find short pasta is ideal in soups, or in the classic dish, Pasta e Ceci.
