National Italian Food Day

In case you didn't know, February 13th is National Italian Food Day. Celebrate by making fun pasta dinners or salads for your loved ones. Italian cooking can be very easy and gourmet, which is always preferable. If you need some inspiration take a peek at these Italian Cookbooks below.

The Gilded Lily has a variety of pastas and sauces to choose from in our gourmet food section. Maybe it would be better to combine Italian Food Day with Valentine's Day and make a fabulous weekend out of it. Italy is known for being the most romantic European country, after all!

These Italian Harvest Cuoricini Hearts Pasta are made with natural dyes. The Italian Harvest Rainbow Bowties Pasta - Large also come in a smaller size. All of these would be perfect for both holidays.

The famous Italian Harvest Black and White Bow Tie Pasta is always a hit. These Italian Harvest Multicolor Trottoloni Pasta would be fun for the kids.

For those who want sauce receptacles both the Italian Harvest Cornucopie Pasta and Italian Harvest Ziti Organic Pasta do a fantastic job. These are some of our favorites!

The Italian Harvest Canule Organic Pasta is best with a red sauce or even pesto because it doesn't uncoil after boiling. Our Italian Harvest Mother in Laws Tongues are the best with Alfredo or butter sauces.

Are you feeling experimental? This Italian Harvest Linguine with Truffle or Italian Harvest Peperoncino Linguine would add some pizzazz to your dishes.

This Italian Harvest Passata Tomato Puree is a great base for all homemade red sauces.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with having pre-made sauces. This Stonewall Kitchen Classic Vodka Sauce is a favorite and I would recommend it to anyone.

Last, but definitely not least, is the Italian Harvest Pesto Ligure. Perfect for people who do not like tomatoes or just love pesto.

Shop for these and our other gourmet foods at the Gilded Lily in Wenatchee, or via our website: www.gildedlilyhome.com.
